It was a busy weekend at the annual Crown Services Volleyball tournament. This year hosted by the Prison Service at Leaf Sports centre Bournemouth and celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. The competition was well contested with Army, Navy, RAF, Fire, Police and Prison all playing their part. The three finals on Sunday were all Police v Army. There was a very high standard in all the matches. The Women took it to five sets but unfortunately narrowly lost. The Men seemed to be always one point behind in a scintillating contest and set scores of 24-26, 23-25 and 20-25 made it an Army double. Team Police Chair was setting for the mixed team all weekend and was proud of his 100% serving record. A great contest played in the right spirit. And the Police won!!
