Burton-on-Trent, UK – The PSUK Men’s Rugby Finals Day took place at Burton-on-Trent RFC, delivering an exhilarating day of rugby action. The event was a huge success, thanks in large part to the generous support of sponsors Salesforce and Virgin Media O2 Business.
The day was filled with high-intensity matches and saw participation from teams across the country. A special congratulations goes out to the players, managers, coaches, and staff whose dedication ensured the event was action-packed and ran smoothly.

Shield Final: Yorkshire 37 – Northumbria 32
Plate Final: Essex 61 – Devon & Cornwall 17
Cup Final: South Wales 42 – Scotland Thistles 21
The highlight of the day was the Cup Final, where South Wales emerged victorious over Scotland Thistles with a score of 42 to 21. This victory capped off a thrilling season for British Police Rugby, showcasing the growing strength and talent within the section. The Trophy returned to South Wales for a third year in a row.
British Police Rugby continues to grow stronger, and this season has been a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved. The anticipation is already building for the 2024/25 season, promising even more exciting rugby action.
The PSUK Men’s Rugby Finals Day was a celebration of sport, teamwork, and community spirit, reflecting the core values of police sport and the benefits of engagement in sports for the wellbeing of the Policing Family.
Huge congratulations to the ecstatic winners of the Police Rugby Finals Day Prize Draw, hosted by XPS Administration (XPS Pensions Group)!
The draw, open to all participating teams, saw an incredible £517 raised for The Police Treatment Centres, thanks to the enthusiastic entries from most of the players.
