After the announcement by Police Sport UK that this year’s national Police Sports awards in October are to be postponed till 2021, Police Sport UK together with Team Police are excited to announce the first of a series of virtual events.

The first event,“Work live Well”, will bring together Chief Constables and other senior officers as well as key supporters of Team Police for an online webinar event. The event will showcase experiences of individuals in the policing family who have undertaken personal challenges in sport and guest speakers will discuss the importance of the health and wellbeing of everyone serving.

Gavin Thomas OBE from Team Police stated “We are looking forward to working with Chief Constable Matt Jukes, Chairman of Police Sport UK and his Chief Officer colleagues. Introducing a virtual event that highlights the importance of sport to the health and wellbeing of everyone in policing, particularly during these challenging times. Police Officers are in the “front line” keeping our communities safe from harm, and we owe it to them that they are also looked after”.

Matt Jukes Chairman of PSUK stated “This is a great opportunity to highlight the importance of sport and physical wellbeing for everyone, from elite sports to just being more active and healthy. We are grateful for those organisations that have stepped forward to support sport through Team Police for everyone in the Policing family”.

The first event will be held in October 2020, details to be announced in the near future.
