TeamPolice is delighted to announce that XPS Administration, part of XPS Pensions Group which is the largest pure pensions consultancy in the UK, has agreed to support TeamPolice in our joint mission to create wellbeing through sport and physical activity for our policing family.

David Watkins, Managing Director XPS Administration, said:

‘TeamPolice plays a fantastic role in supporting the health and wellbeing of active and retired officers and we are excited to offer our support. Due to the pandemic, TeamPolice’s role has become more important than ever.

We have a long-standing partnership with many police forces around the UK, administering pensions for 30 of the 43 Police forces in the UK. For us, it is a natural fit to support TeamPolice with the great work that they do.’

Matt Jukes, Assistant Commissioner Metropolitan Police & Chair of Police Sport UK commented:

‘We are delighted that XPS is sponsoring TeamPolice, their support will be vital in helping the police services and the wider police family to participate in sports. Sports have been shown to vastly improve mental as well as physical fitness which is particularly important to our brave men and women in blue who often face stressful situations every day whilst safeguarding our lives. The health benefits of sport and physical activity are clear in the academic work, what we need to do is to use this joint venture, this opportunity, to help promote that within the police.’

As part of their support for our police forces, XPS Administration sponsored TeamPolice’s very first webinar which focused on what is being done to promote sport, health and wellbeing in the current climate. The event was a huge success and gave police officers around the country the chance to pose their burning issues to senior officers.

TeamPolice raises much needed funds through an innovative commercial sponsorship scheme to help improve the wellbeing of everyone who is serving and has served in our UK Police Forces by enabling increased participation in sport and physical activity. Our approach to fundraising is to act fairly and transparently and in the best interests of PSUK and the police forces in general. All profits raised through TeamPolice are regularly donated to PSUK which is governed by a board of trustees which includes senior officers and non-serving members.

TeamPolice is the fundraising body for police sport in the UK. It is a joint venture between Police Sport UK (PSUK) and EthosVO

  • PSUK represents all the Police Forces of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and provides sporting opportunities for over 300,000 serving and retired police staff.
  • EthosVO is a social business accelerator working in the areas of work, wellbeing and place-making.
